Due to the pandemic, many PIs of the projects conducted on this cruise could not join us at sea. Therefore, we needed to "zoom" in the on-shore PIs, which was crucial to the success of this cruise. While zooming, one of the PI's, Dr. Ross Parnell-Turner from Scripps Oceanographic Institution had the idea to allow the rest of the world to participate by streaming the zoom feed to YouTube live, in coordination with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. This was all made possible through the support of the National Science Foundation.
